Hi my name is Faioso and I am a singer-songwriter specializing in socially conscious R&B and hip-hop. I write music and lyrics inspired by personal life, relationships, politics, and culture. I sound like a blended mix of MIA, TLC, Jill Scott, Amy Winehouse, and Bjork. My music is powerful and soulful, dark yet positive, urban yet abstract. I just released my first album called "Nobody Owns Me." This music album fuses R&B, hip-hop, spoken word, and world music. There is a story behind every song. For example, "Nobody Owns Me (But You, Boy)" started off as a poem written on a friend's myspace page!
